TIP: if you hover your mouse over the file names you see some VERY VALUABLE information appear in a pop up box. The information will vary depending on your search, but you’ll usually get things such as length, bit rate, track, year, type, title and so on.
This information is valuable because if you know the exact length of the movie you’re looking for (mine is 73 minutes), then you can double-check this before you add the file to your downloads.
WARNING! Avoid downloading files which don’t specify the length, or files that have a length of 0.01 as they are probably dud files. Always select movies that are right on or close to the length of the film you’re after.

TIP: To be ULTRA SURE that the file you are going to download is safe you can right click on the file you are interested in and then Advanced > Lookup File with Bitzi. Click on this and your internet browser will open a page that hopefully contains something like this;

How To Download Movies With Limewire
Here are the steps to download movies with limewire. You should have already set up limewire, if you haven’t configured your settings click here. Once you’ve opened the program the next step is to select the file category you wish to search for;

Make sure you are looking at the Search tab (pictured left), it’s the default, so you shouldn’t need to find it.
In this example I’m going to be using limewire to download the 1955 film;

Because we’re going to be looking for movies the first step here is to go ahead click on Video because we’re gonna be searching for a video file.
I recommend starting to search for complete title first. If you don’t get enough results then you can try a less specific search term.
TIP: Always type the FULL description into the Title box first.
TIP: Don’t use any of the other boxes or pull downs (Type, Year etc...) as most of the files on limewire are not tagged and will therefore be excluded from your results. You don’t want to miss out on a higher quality file because you didn’t search effectively.
For the abovementioned reasons there is never any instance where you would use the More Search Options option.
TIP: THE BEST search tactic on limewire is to use the Title box effectively and then sort your results.
